There’s something about winery weddings that just feels like pure magic, and Elwira & Mike’s Vineland Estates Winery wedding was exactly that. Tucked into the heart of Ontario’s wine country, this day was filled with golden light, vineyard views, and so much love.
If you’ve been dreaming of a Vineland Estates wedding (and maybe wondering what it looks like in photos), you’re in the right place, this post will give you a little peek inside their gorgeous September celebration.

From Engagement to “I Do”
I first met Elwira & Mike at their Kerncliff Park engagement session (you can peek at it here!). They were naturals in front of the camera; playful, in love, and so easygoing. After that evening, I knew their wedding day was going to be something special. Spoiler: it did not disappoint.
A Quiet First Look Together at vinelands estates
Before the ceremony began, Elwira & Mike chose to share a private moment together. Since they planned to walk down the aisle side by side, I had mentioned how it would be nice to do a quiet “first look” before guests arrived. Just the two of them, tucked away from the bustle, it was such a grounding and emotional moment. They laughed, took a deep breath together, and soaked in the fact that they were about to get married. It set the perfect tone for the rest of the day and made their walk down the aisle feel even more meaningful.
The Carriage House at Vineland Estates Winery
The wedding was held at the Carriage House at Vineland Estates Winery. The Carriage House is a charming little stone building with a wall of windows that looks directly out onto the vineyard.
For the ceremony, Elwira & Mike had their archway set up in front of those windows. Sunlight streamed through, highlighting the vines in the distance while they exchanged vows in front of their closest family and friends. Later, the space was flipped into a cozy reception, complete with twinkling lights and vineyard views.
Cocktail hour was held on the wraparound decks, where guests sipped wine and enjoyed the sunshine while overlooking the rows of grapes stretching out behind the venue.
If you’re looking for a wedding venue in Niagara with vineyard views, Vineland Estates is a photographer’s dream. Every corner has a backdrop waiting to be photographed, from rustic stone walls to open fields to hidden vineyard paths.
Willow Tree Magic at the vinelands estate winery
Before the reception kicked off, we snuck away for some portraits in front of Vineland’s most iconic spot: the giant willow tree at the front of the property. This tree is breathtaking in any season, but as the sun started to dip lower, the light filtered through its flowing branches in the dreamiest way. It was the perfect, golden, romantic glow, the kind of light every photographer hopes for.
We also photographed their families here, framed by the willow’s sweeping branches. It’s hard to put into words just how peaceful and beautiful this little pocket of the property is. It’s no wonder it’s such a popular photo spot at Vineland Estates weddings.
A Sunset to Remember
As if the day wasn’t already stunning, we were gifted with one of the most gorgeous sunsets of the year. Fluffy clouds scattered across the sky as the sun melted into shades of pink and gold over the vineyards. Elwira & Mike took a quiet moment together as the sky lit up, and we captured some of my favourite images of the whole day.
If you’re considering a winery wedding, let this be your sign, vineyard sunsets are next-level.
