Some wedding days just stick with you, not because of the details (though there were plenty of those!) but because of the people and the love that filled the air. Danielle & Tom’s wedding wasn’t just a day, it was a whole weekend of celebration on their beautiful country property in Gobles, Ontario.
What made it even more special? Danielle had always dreamed of an evening ceremony, so they planned a two-day wedding. Friday night was reserved for their intimate ceremony and dinner, while Saturday was their big celebration with all their friends and family.
A First Look Full of Emotion
Before the ceremony, Danielle stepped out onto their back porch and made her way down to Tom for their first look. The moment was quiet and private, but so powerful. They read personal vows to one another, and honestly, there wasn’t a dry eye in sight. Those kinds of moments are why I love what I do.
An Evening Ceremony Under the Trees
Friday evening, Danielle & Tom held their ceremony in the back corner of their property where a trail leads into the bush. Surrounded by tall, mature trees, the spot felt private and peaceful, exactly what Danielle had always hoped for.
The ceremony was filled with emotion, not just from Danielle & Tom, but from their kids too. There were so many happy tears, and you could feel how much this moment meant to everyone standing there with them.
Creating Space for Connection
After the ceremony, the family gathered at one of the prettiest photo spots I’ve seen; a bench surrounded by logs, each topped with mason jars glowing with candles. As the sun went down, it became even more stunning. We did so many family photos here, and it was the perfect backdrop to capture not just portraits, but connection.
Danielle & Tom love candid, natural moments (posed smiles aren’t really their thing), so we spent time wandering their property, letting them just be. Whether it was walking hand in hand or laughing together, their personalities and love shone through in every frame.
A Celebration That Felt Like Them
What I loved most about Danielle & Tom’s wedding was how true it felt to who they are. Every part of the weekend reflected their love of the outdoors, their family, and their deep connection to each other. Two days of celebrating didn’t feel like too much, it felt exactly right.
Danielle & Tom, thank you for inviting me into such a meaningful, emotional, joy-filled wedding. It was a dream to document your story.
