This area has become one of my favourite places to photograph couples, and it’s one I know well.


I grew up in Guelph, and even now, it still feels like home every time I’m back. From the charm of downtown Guelph to the natural landscapes of Rockwood Conservation Area, and the small-town character of Elora and Fergus, there’s an incredible variety of backdrops just a short drive apart.


I love these areas for engagement sessions, it's a perfect space for couples who want something relaxed, fun, or a little adventurous

Most sessions feel more like a walk, a date, or a quiet evening together than a photoshoot.

Guelph Arboretum

A peaceful, nature-filled space with endless walking paths, gardens, and quiet pockets of greenery. It’s perfect for couples who want something soft, romantic, and natural without feeling too structured.

Elora Gorge & Downtown Elora

A stunning mix of dramatic natural cliffs along the gorge paired with the charm of downtown Elora’s stone buildings, bridges, and riverside streets. This is one of the most visually diverse engagement locations in the region.

Rockwood Conservation Area

One of the most popular engagement locations for a reason; towering cliffs, turquoise water, forest trails, and dramatic scenery that feels like a hidden escape just outside the city.

How far in advance should we book a wedding photographer in Guelph?

Most couples book their wedding photographer 8-14 months in advance, especially for peak season dates from late spring through fall. Venues in and around Guelph and Elora are very popular, so once your date is secured, it’s a good idea to reach out early.

What are the best wedding venues in Guelph and the surrounding area?

There are so many beautiful venues in and around Guelph and nearby Elora. Some favourites include:

  • Cambridge Mill for elegant waterfront weddings
  • Earth to Table: The Farm for a relaxed countryside feel

Each venue offers something a little different, which is why I approach every wedding day with flexibility and intention.

Do you travel outside Guelph for weddings?

Absolutely. While I photograph many weddings in Guelph and Elora, I also regularly work throughout Southern Ontario, including Kitchener, Hamilton, Woodstock, and beyond.

Travel is always an option, and we’ll go over any details depending on your location.
